Light wind days are here, but that does not mean your kiteboarding days need to be limited!

Like with anything, having the right equipment for the job makes all the difference. Kiteboarding is no exception to this rule; the lighter the wind, the larger the kite needs to be. Do you have the right size kite for the summer winds? Don’t worry, Elite Watersports is here to help walk you through your options to ensure you don’t miss any summer sessions.

Take a moment to watch the videos, read the general details, and give us a call to discuss what works best for you. (727)800-2202

Slingshot: 2017 Turbine 17m & 19m

Full power in a full range: The Turbine has proven to be one of the best light-wind kites ever made. For 2017, Slingshot is unleashing this high-aspect, high-efficiency machine in a full range of sizes. All the same, qualities that make the Turbine such a great light wind kite translate to an aggressive, high-power, high-performance weapon as you go down in size and up in wind speed.
The 15, 17, 19 meters: The proven light wind kite of choice for riders of all abilities. The Turbine’s high-aspect, high-efficiency profile gets you out and riding when others watch from the shore hoping for the wind to pick up.

Liquid Force: 2017 Solo V3 17.5m

Riding in light wind presents enough challenges as is. We believe that equipment should not add another dynamic of difficulty to this condition equation. The Solo lead the charge in light wind performance with its introduction 3 years ago. The Solo’s minimal build, single strut platform is unmatched for keeping the kite aloft in light and lulled wind. Don’t hold your progression and tricks back with the fear of crashing! The same benefits of decreased weight for keeping the Solo V3 in the sky translates to ease of re-launch in the slightest of breeze. Additional weight savings components include reduction of heavy Dacron material and low profile bridle lines that reduce drag and weight creating a more forward flying position allow ease of upwind angles. If you are the type of rider that would rather be on the water than sitting on the beach, the Solo V3 is your answer to more days riding your kiteboard rather than riding your beach chair.

Core Kiteboarding: 2017 XR5 17m & 19m

The new mega-boosting, woohoo-generating XR5 delivers more hangtime than you can imagine. And did we mention the pillow-soft landings? This performance freerider has the goods for all your adventures. On the lake. Or on the Atlantic. It rips upwind, handles gusts (and lulls) like a boss and still retains the legendary XR character, comfort, and range that owners rave about. So, how do we do it? We start with a modified delta bow shape, and we spend the next 12 years improving every minute detail. Details like our Intelligent Arc bridle system that adjusts the wingspan, and massively increases wind range. And ExoTex Ultra Rigid Dacron, our exclusive airframe material that increases canopy rigidity and aerodynamics without adding weight. We could go on, but we prefer that you find out for yourself how stellar the new XR5 performs.

Ozone: 2017 Edge 19m

The Edge has a unique pedigree, well known to pack a serious punch! The latest version takes it to the next level – an explosive high adrenaline freeride machine that will leave you in withdrawal after every session. True addiction comes naturally with the Edge V9, the heavy hitter with an honest high!

The design brief for the ninth version of Edge was to radically improve freeride and big air potential while maintaining its multiple World Championship winning speed and race performance. We have completely re-worked the bar feeling, with the balance between front and rear line pressure optimized for feeling and improved pitch control. Riding the Edge V9 you can easily sense where the kite is at any time, the entire bar throw range offers a progressive feedback feel making it turn faster and easier to time the take off for going massive.

Ozone: 2017 Chrono V2, Foil Kite

Our design goal with the second version was to take the original Chrono’s high-performance characteristics and make it easier to use for riders looking for all-round ability in any conditions on any surface.

The Chrono V2 is more stable and easier to inflate. Additionally, this model has thicker sheathed Dyneema bridle lines to reduce tangles on the ground. New sizes cover a wider range of conditions to personalize your high-performance quiver.

The Chrono V2 is for experienced riders with good kite control skills or previous foil kite experience. It is not difficult to fly, but there are specific techniques required to ground handle and fly high aspect ratio foil kites safely.

F-One: 2017 Diablo V2, Foil Kite

The DIABLO burst onto the scene with a vengeance last year, winning races and praise from everyone who flew it. For 2017, the DIABLO V.2. goes even further, it is now the ultimate racing weapon.
