Traditionally, riders of the wake style and freestyle discipline will ride with a fully enclosed boot system. This allows these riders to be more connected to the board and better manipulate their board. Freeride kiters and old school big air riders typically stick to the two part, open toe straps, to give them maneuverability with their feet.
