Unlimited / Foiling / Object
The UFO V2 kite has been redesigned with the lightest build yet. Our design team reduced the leading edge weight by 25% along with adding a new streamlined bridle system with more premium materials. Riders will instantly feel less drag through the air, the ability to foil in even less wind and an unmatched foiling performance with the all new UFO V2.
Building on the foundation of its predecessor, the UFO V2 expands on the lightweight strutless design by implementing space-age materials that make the kite lighter and even higher performance. The new extended size range allows riders to build a full UFO quiver and utilize the ideal size based on their weight and wind conditions.
WHY WE MADE IT
We created the UFO V2 to redefine the limits of foiling with a kite.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
- The UFO V2 is the lightest LEI kite that we have ever produced.
- Provides unrivaled drift, response, and turning speed.
- The most fun kite that you will ever fly.
NEW LIGHTER BUILD
NEW LIGHTER BUILD
We have utilized new materials to further progress the UFO's signature lightweight build. The result is a leading-edge material that is 25% lighter than the UFO's predecessor.
NEW STREAMLINED BRIDLE SYSTEM
By using more premium materials, we were able to reduce the bridle-line thickness by 25%. Riders will instantly feel the kite dragging less through the air thanks to this new streamlined bridle.
With zero struts, the UFO V2 is incredibly lightweight and able to fly in the lightest of wind conditions.
Stripped of all excess to keep it lean, lightweight, and ultra-responsive. Minimal stitching, paneling, and reinforcements keep the UFO streamlined and simple.
COMPACT SWEPT C CANOPY
Compact = Excellent steering, pivoting, and drift
Swept C = Huge range with responsive power management to prevent over foiling.
UFO V2 BAG
A minimalist, nylon kite bag, stripped down to the bare essentials.
HERE ARE THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE UFO V1.1 AND THE UFO V2.
The first version of the UFO came with a D1 canopy, the classic Cuzin bridle line, and Slingshots DP 175 leading edge material. The V1.1 then had a canopy change to D2. This D2 was more stretch resistant and lasted longer. As everyone knows here at Slingshot, testing never stops, and we were still finding ways to make the lightest kite on the market even lighter. Canopy material had to stay the same, but the leading edge felt heavy, and the bridle lines were overbuilt.
The leading-edge material was switched out for DLE 140, a material that is 25% lighter than the DP 175 of the V1 and V1.1 UFOs. After the leading edge, we looked at the bridle. The heavy overbuilt lines were switched out for a new line called Liros DC Pro 401 that is 25% thinner. Thinner means less drag and lighter means more range while foiling. Both benefits combined to create the UFO V2. The lightest kite just got lighter. The fastest kite just got faster. If you’re looking to take your foiling to the next step, or if you’re happy where you are, the UFO is for you.
