Team Rider Profile
Pitzer Gills started kiteboarding when he was 14 and learned from Aaron McClearnon. All of his family members are now avid kiters and plan family vacations based on the wind forecast wherever they go. When there isn't wind for kiting he turns to other extreme sports such as sky diving, spear fishing, and hang gliding. Pitzer is also working towards his Bachelors Degree while balancing his passion for extreme sports with his friends and family.
- I really just stick to hooked in kiting and don’t dabble that much in other stuff as much as I should. I enjoy this because it’s what all of my buddies do. Also, nothing feels quite like a megaloop. In my opinion, it’s an entirely different side of the sport that can’t be compared to any other rush in kiting.
Favorite Places to kite
My favorite places to kite are 3 rooker island and Fred Howard Park on the north side during a south wind. 3 rooker is my favorite due to the versatility of the wind. No matter the direction, you can guarantee flat water on one side of the cove. Also it has a shallow pond which makes for great island hopping opportunities!

Why Pitzer Rides CORE.
I rented their gear in 2015, the 12m XR5 and fell in love with it. Haven’t felt the same way about any other kite I’ve used since. Max air and response. What more could you ask for yanno.
