Hangars Beach: A great spot for a quieter session, but be mindful of the smaller parking area. It's typically empty during winter weekdays, offering a peaceful place to set up.

2nd Light Beach: Located across from the space force base, this location has a medium-sized parking lot and tends to be busier on weekends.

Blockhouse Beach: There is limited parking but often very few beachgoers, making it an excellent spot for a solo ride.

Tables Beach: Yet another good pull-off with showers and restrooms.

Wave Downwinders Florida: One of the best ways to fully embrace kiteboarding along the A1A is to set up a downwinder. Depending on the wind direction, you can park a car at a beach downwind, drive upwind to one of these launch spots like Hangars Beach, 2nd Light, or Blockhouse Beach, and rip some waves downwind back to your car. Start your downwinder in the morning, riding through different breaks along the way, and once you finish, grab lunch at a local spot in Cocoa Beach or Melbourne. After refueling, you could even hit up another session at a new beach for the afternoon or settle in for a chilled sunset session at the end of your run.

NE, N, NW, SE, E: The side shore and side-onshore winds are the most consistent, making for smooth, enjoyable sessions.

Onshore Winds: East winds can bring more challenging conditions, especially for less experienced riders, as the shore break can be to big. However, for advanced riders, east winds provide excellent opportunities to catch bigger waves.

However, beginner and intermediate riders may find the conditions enjoyable on days with small waves and lighter east winds.

The rule is that you must be able to ride upwind even when the current is taking some of the power out of the wind.

Offshore: Avoid riding in offshore conditions here (W, SW, NW), as the wind will take you out to sea, which can be dangerous.

We never recommend riding offshore ocean winds. Only very experienced riders should consider offshore winds, and even then, caution is advised due to their gusty nature and other dangers, like the potential to lose your gear or swim back in for a long time.

Sideoff: If you're an expert wave rider, you might consider riding a slight side-off wind here for clean waves. Just be ready to self-rescue and swim back in if necessary. Remember, you are always taking a chance to do this.
