Ben Sampson

Team Rider & Instructor Profile

Ben comes to us from a small town in South Carolina. Our southern charmer has a passion for water sports that runs deep. Ben’s wakeboarding, wake surfing, and slalom skiing enthusiasm quickly progressed to competing on a national level in the expert slalom ski division with the International Novice Tour. When he moved to us to attend Eckerd College in 2015, he was naturally drawn to the extremity and freedom of kiteboarding. Getting out any day he could, Ben started learning advanced tricks his first year of kiting.

Riding Style

He has since added kite foiling, winging, surfing, and everything in between.
His favorite discipline is big air, old school style riding.
Throwing inverts and board offs 40 plus feet in the air.

Favorite Places to Kite

You’ll see him thriving while sending mega loops and wowing the crowd at his favorite St Pete spot, North Beach Ft Desoto. Ben is still loyal to the foil and will take advantage of the seabreeze at Pass a Grille Beach many days of the week. When he’s not on the water, he’s still up in the sky. Ben is a Private Pilot and flies around Florida on his time off.
