2. 6000W Performance propulsion unit — Handles riders up to 287 lbs and reaches a top speed of 28 mph. What does the Smart Flight Assistance System actually do?

The Flight Assistance System is what separates every Plus-tier board in the Waydoo lineup from the Lite. Understanding what it does — and what it does not do — is the most important thing to understand before buying the Pro Plus.

The system uses ultrasonic sensors, an accelerometer, and a gyroscope to measure the board's distance from the water and the rider's pitch angle in real time. Based on that data, it adjusts motor power automatically to help maintain your set ride height. When the board drops too low, the motor adds power. When you climb too high, it pulls back. The result is that takeoff and maintaining flight both require less active balance from the rider.

Three assist levels are available through the remote. Low assist gives the smallest correction inputs and is closest to riding without the system. High assist provides the most active correction and shortens the learning window considerably for complete beginners.

Geofencing is the GPS layer of the system. Through the Waydoo app, you draw a riding zone on a map, and the board physically slows and stops before crossing the boundary. Why does the 90L board volume hit the right balance for most Tampa Bay riders?

When should you choose a different Waydoo package instead?

Being direct about fit is more useful than overselling the Pro Plus for every situation. Here are the honest cases where a different setup is the better answer.

Choose the Max Plus if you are a complete beginner over 200 lbs. The 130L volume gives you more float and a calmer surface during the takeoff phase. The Flight Assistance System is identical on both boards, so you still get the smart leveling and geofencing. But the additional volume removes one variable during the learning window that matters most.

Choose the Lite if you are under 198 lbs, want the most agile setup, and do not need flight assist. The Lite is a 90L board with the 4000W motor and 1800Wh battery, no sensors. It is lighter, simpler, and more maneuverable. The 4000W motor is sufficient for riders under 198 lbs. If earning your takeoffs manually is part of the appeal, the Lite is a legitimate choice and the lower price reflects the reduced feature set honestly.

Choose the Master if you want Kevlar construction, a carbon mast, and the most performance-oriented setup in the range. The Master is a different product category: 75L Kevlar board, one-piece carbon mast, and a focus on aggressive carving and wave work. It is less forgiving and built for experienced riders who want the closest equivalent to a premium performance eFoil.

The Pro Plus earns its "best all-around" reputation by serving the widest range of riders well without requiring a specific skill floor. It is not the easiest option in the lineup and it is not the highest-performance option. It is the one that most riders never outgrow.

Tampa Bay conditions do shift — afternoon sea breezes create surface chop, and small boat wakes cross the riding zone regularly.
